DEX Trading brings onchain trading directly into the Kraken Pro web experience. It lets you search for, analyze, and trade onchain assets that aren't listed on Kraken, without leaving Kraken Pro and without managing a separate wallet, gas, or bridges.

What DEX Trading is

With DEX Trading, you can buy and sell onchain assets that aren't yet listed on the Kraken exchange and view their basic info and historical price action. It's designed to give you a familiar Kraken Pro trading experience while abstracting away the usual onchain complexity.

Self-custodial by design

DEX Trading uses a self-custodial embedded wallet. This means you own your keys: Kraken never holds your private keys and cannot access them. There's no seed phrase to record and no separate login.

Funding, gas, and pricing

You fund your DEX wallet directly from your existing Kraken balance, with no bridging and no gas top-ups to manage. Swaps are gasless, so you don't need to hold native tokens for gas.

Quotes are aggregated across multiple swap providers to route each trade toward the sharpest available price. A single transparent fee of 100 bps (1%) applies to every swap. It's deducted from your swap amount and already factored into the quote you see.

What DEX Trading is not

It's not a replacement for Kraken Pro spot, margin, or futures trading; it's an addition to them.
It's not a custodial product or a separate app requiring a new login.
