Kraken Card Split Bill

Last updated: June 29, 2026

What is Split Bill?

Split Bill lets you divide a shared expense and send payment requests to up to 12 contacts at once - using any of the 300+ assets supported on Krak.

Instead of following up with people one by one, you initiate a single split and Krak sends each person their own request. From there, it works just like a standard peer-to-peer payment on Krak.

You can split the total equally or assign a custom amount to each person. The full amount and each person's share are clearly displayed in your chosen currency, so there's no confusion about what anyone owes.

How to send a Split Bill?

  1. 1

Decide What You Want to Split
There are two ways to start a Split Bill:

    1. From a transaction in your Activity feed:
If you've just paid for something - dinner, drinks, event tickets - tap the transaction in your Activity feed to split it instantly. The amount is pre-filled, so you can skip straight to choosing who to split with.

    2. From the Receive flow:
If the payment was made using another account or method, you can start a fresh Split Bill from the home screen.

  2. 2

    Select Your Contacts
Your recent contacts appear at the top of the screen for quick access. Use the search bar to find someone specific.

  3. 3

    Set the Amount and Asset
Enter the total bill amount in the asset you'd like to receive. Use the asset selector to switch currencies - only one asset per split is supported.

Choose How Much to Request from Each Person
By default, Krak splits the total equally across all participants - everyone receives a request for the same amount. Switch to custom mode if different amounts apply to different people.

  5. 5

    Send and Track Your Requests
When you're ready, tap Split Bill. Krak sends a payment request to each contact individually.

All pending requests will appear in your Inbox. Each one shows the contact's Kraktag, name, amount, and status. Once a contact pays, the payment will appear in your Activity feed and the amount will be reflected in your balance.
