What is Kraken AI?

Kraken AI is a persistent intelligence available in the Kraken app. It helps you create and maintain an investment plan based on your goals, preferences, and existing holdings.

Kraken AI can help you build an initial portfolio plan. For existing clients, it analyzes your portfolio and may suggest actions such as putting idle cash to work, setting up recurring purchases, or rebalancing positions that have drifted from your target allocation.

You can also use Kraken AI to perform other supported actions, such as buying, selling, or converting your assets. Kraken AI will explain the proposed action and ask for your approval before anything is executed.

Kraken AI does not execute transactions or move funds automatically. Any suggestion includes an explanation of the rationale behind it, and all actions require your review and approval before they are carried out. Its role is to help you make informed portfolio decisions while keeping you in control of every step.

Open the Kraken app and start a conversation with Kraken AI. It will ask a few questions about your investing preferences, then propose a plan for you to review.

Every suggestion comes with the reasoning shown, so you can see why before you decide. Approve it in one tap, edit it, or skip it, it's your call.

No. Kraken AI does not buy, sell, or move anything without your approval.

It works on a propose-and-approve basis:

  1. Kraken AI suggests a plan or action.

  2. It explains what it would do and why.

  3. You approve, edit, or skip.

  4. Only after you approve does anything happen.

This applies to everything, building a plan, setting up recurring buys, or acting on a suggestion. Nothing runs until you say so.

Nothing happens unless you choose to act on it.

Kraken AI provides suggestions, but it does not make changes to your portfolio or execute transactions without your approval. If you dismiss a suggestion, ignore it, or decide not to take action, your portfolio remains unchanged.

Using Kraken AI is entirely optional. You can follow all, some, or none of its suggestions and continue managing your portfolio independently through the Kraken app.

If you decide you'd like to revisit a suggestion later, you can return to Kraken AI at any time to review your options and explore new suggestions based on your current portfolio.

Kraken AI can help you:

  • Build a plan: answer a few questions and get a suggested allocation, with the reasoning explained.

  • Take action by chat: buy, sell, convert, stake all from one conversation. You approve each action before it happens.

  • Set up recurring buys: schedule regular purchases so you don't have to remember to do it manually.

  • Spot idle cash: see when funds are sitting unused and review options to put them to work.

  • Stay on plan: get a heads-up when your holdings drift from your original plan, with a suggested fix.

  • Stay informed: a personalized news feed and a daily digest keep you up to date on your holdings, market moves, and what Kraken AI suggests next.

Every suggestion is something you review and approve. Kraken AI surfaces the options; you make the decisions. Features are subject to regional availability.

No. Kraken AI is there to help if you want it, but using it is entirely optional. You can keep managing your portfolio yourself and ignore its suggestions, or dip in only when it's useful.

You won't lose access to any part of the Kraken app by not using it.

Kraken AI operates inside the Kraken app under the same security protections as the rest of your account. It can only act on your portfolio after you approve a specific action — it cannot move funds on its own.

Sensitive details like your balances, prices, deposit and withdrawal addresses, and order summaries are shown to you directly from Kraken's systems, not generated by the assistant. That means you can always rely on the numbers and addresses you see.

Yes. You're in control of any plan or recurring activity you've set up. You can review, change, or cancel it in the Kraken app at any time.

If Kraken AI suggests a change to your plan later — for example, if your holdings drift — it will surface that as a new suggestion for you to approve or skip. Nothing will ever change automatically.
