What are Ink Points?

Ink Points are how Kraken Pro recognizes its most active traders. The more you do on Kraken Pro, the more points you collect, and the more points you collect, the higher your level and the greater your rewards.

Points are collected through your activity on Kraken Pro:

  • Trading

  • Holding assets

  • Staking

  • Platform engagement

Note:

API activity is excluded.

Points are calculated and added every Monday, reflecting the previous week's activity.

Start date: For existing clients, collection started from April 6th. If you joined after that, your points start from your join date.

Boosts are time-limited opportunities to collect extra points.

Two types:

  • Multiplier boosts: Multiply the points you already collect for eligible actions

  • Flat point boosts: Grant points for actions that don't normally collect anything

Check the Boosts tab to see what's currently active and when each boost expires.

A season is a fixed 4-week period. Your points within a season determine your level for the following season.

At the end of each season:

  • Seasonal points reset

  • A new season begins immediately

  • Your lifetime points total never resets

There are 6 levels in total:

  • Levels 1–5: Points-based, your level is assigned at the end of each season based on points collected that season

  • Level 6 (VIP): The highest level, has a points threshold but is invite-only. Points are one factor for eligibility, not a guarantee.

Important:

Levels can go up or down, each season is assessed independently. Levels first become visible from May 4.

The leaderboard ranks clients by points collected in the current season, updating every Monday.

Key detail: You compete only against clients within your own level, not globally. The leaderboard goes live on May 4.

VIP is Kraken Pro's highest client program and the highest level in Ink Points. It cannot be achieved through points alone.

If you are eligible, Kraken’s VIP team will reach out directly. Existing Kraken VIP clients are automatically recognized. VIP users do not have a leaderboard as VIP is not a competitive level.
