How to deposit EUR to Kraken with iDEAL

iDEAL is a payment method that securely links your bank account, enabling free and fast transfers directly to your Kraken account. iDEAL is available to clients who reside in The Netherlands.

To use iDEAL you must meet the following requirements:

    Verification level: your Kraken account must be verified.

    Account ownership: ensure the name on the bank account you are funding from matches the name on your Kraken account.

    Geographic restrictions: iDEAL is available to clients residing in the Netherlands.

  • •

    Kraken currently only supports deposits through iDEAL, withdrawals are not available.

To fund your account with iDEAL via Kraken.com:

    On the homepage of your account, click the Deposit button.

    Select a cash currency in the Asset dropdown.

    Under Deposit Method select iDEAL.

    Enter the amount you wish to deposit and click Deposit.

    Review the deposit information and click Confirm deposit.

    Click on Scan with your banking app to pay or Select your bank to use your internet banking.

    Once you have selected your bank, you will be automatically taken to your banking application. On your banking app you will need to confirm or cancel the transaction you have initiated.

    Finally, after confirming your transaction you will be automatically sent back to the Kraken App.

    A confirmation message will appear indicating that your deposit has been initiated and that the funds should arrive in a few seconds.
