DEX Trading supported chains and tokens

DEX Trading on Kraken Pro lets you trade onchain assets that aren't listed on the Kraken exchange, without leaving Kraken Pro, and without a separate wallet, gas top-ups, or bridging. This article covers which chains are supported and how token availability works.

Supported chains

DEX Trading supports six chains:

  • Ethereum
  • Solana
  • Ink
  • Base
  • Optimism
  • Arbitrum

How token availability differs from Kraken listings

The assets you can trade with DEX Trading are different from the assets listed on the Kraken exchange:

  • Kraken exchange listings are assets that Kraken has reviewed and made available for spot, margin, or futures trading.
  • DEX Trading gives you access to onchain assets across the six supported chains, including many tokens that aren't listed on Kraken. This means you can reach tokens that appear onchain before, or without, an exchange listing.

DEX Trading doesn't replace Kraken Pro spot, margin, or futures trading. It sits alongside them to extend the range of assets you can reach.

Fees and routing

Every swap has a single, transparent 100 bps (1%) fee, which is already factored into the quote you see. Quotes are aggregated across multiple swap providers to route each trade toward the sharpest available price.

Security and safety controls

Your DEX wallet is self-custodial: Kraken never holds your private keys. Because DEX Trading reaches assets that aren't reviewed for a Kraken listing, always do your own research before trading a token.
