How do I stake ETH on Kraken Pro?

Staking Ether (ETH) on Kraken Pro is a great way to earn rewards while supporting the Ethereum network. You now have two options to choose from:

Standard ETH staking is straightforward—you stake your ETH and earn rewards from the Ethereum network. With ETH Restaking, you can potentially earn higher rewards by extending your staking to additional applications on the EigenLayer protocol.

In this guide, we'll show you how to stake your ETH using both methods on Kraken Pro:

    First you will need to have ETH in your account. You can obtain ETH by either buying or depositing Ethereum into your Kraken account.

    Once you have signed in via the Kraken Pro website, click on Earn in the left-hand sidebar.

    Then click the Stake button.

    Select ETH and enter the amount you wish to stake. Ensure that the Bonded option is selected.

    Carefully read through all the information provided. Click Stake to acknowledge and agree to initiate the staking process.

    Once ETH staking has been initiated, you will be redirected to the Portfolio tab. Here you will see your staked assets, pending transactions and history. There is no bonding period and you will accrue rewards immediately.

    Sign into your Kraken account on Kraken Pro.

    Once you have signed in via the Kraken Pro website, click on Earn in the left-hand sidebar.

    Click on 'Ether (ETH)' in the Staking section.

    Select 'Bonded restaking' in the window and enter the amount. (To restake your currently staked ETH, switch from your ‘Available balance’ to your ‘Bonded balance’.)

    Click ‘Confirm’ after reviewing on the Confirmation screen.

    Once confirmed, the Success screen will appear. Your ETH has been restaked and will earn weekly rewards!

    If you’ve restaked ETH from your Spot balance and have a Bonded ETH balance, you may be prompted to restake it. Click 'Earn more' to follow a similar process as the one above.
